When is my calendar raffle purchase eligible for the daily draws?
- All Daily, Weekly and Monthly calendars purchased by midnight (CST) December 16, 2011 are eligible for draws commencing Jan. 1, 2012.
- All Daily, Weekly and Monthly calendars purchased by midnight (CST) January 15, 2012 are eligible for draws commencing Feb. 1, 2012.
- All Daily, Weekly and Monthly calendars purchased by midnight (CST) February 15, 2012 are eligible for draws commencing March 1, 2012.
- Daily, Weekly and Monthly draws falling on weekend days or holidays will be drawn on the next business day. The Daily and Monthly draws scheduled for December 29, 30 & 31, 2012 will occur on December 28, 2012.
- The exception is for the Daily and Monthly draws, scheduled for December 29, 30 & 31, 2012 will occur on December 28, 2012.

How are winners chosen?
Each calendar purchased entitles the purchaser to a ticket number in the raffle, and the purchaser will receive this number with each calendar. After each draw in the raffle, the winner is recorded and remains eligible for all subsequent draws. Winning chances will be drawn under the supervision of a Raffle Audit and Control Firm in Rosemont, IL. All decisions by Raffle Auditors are final. Winners will be posted at CalendarRaffleforKids.org.
How will I be notified if I am a winner?
Winners will be posted every weekday (except holidays) on the 2012 Calendar Raffle website at www.CalendarRaffleforKids.org. Weekend and holiday winners will be posted the following workday. All winners will be notified in writing c/o the purchaser at the mailing address provided at the time of purchase.
- Notification will be mailed to the Purchaser’s address on record. This notification letter will provide the appropriate steps required to claim a prize including verification that a participant has complied with all rules and procedures.
- Winnings will be issued after the winner's eligibility requirements have been verified by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. All prize winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility within 24 hours of notification or prize will be forfeited. Winners may be asked to provide an official photo ID (Illinois State License, Official State ID, or Military ID) to verify age and residency. Verification may take up to 24 hours. If the winner is asked to and declines to provide adequate verification, then he or she forfeits winnings and another random drawing will be held to determine a winner.
- A cash prize will then be sent to the verified winner. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for delivery. If a prize is unclaimed after six (6) months, prize proceeds will be donated to RMHC-CNI.

Why are you running this raffle?
It’s an exciting new way for you to do even more to advance our vital efforts. It’s Chicago’s first-ever Calendar Raffle for Kids. Both RMHC-CNI and Children’s Memorial Hospital are building two new world class facilities in downtown Chicago to support more kids than ever! These charities are looking to you to support these initiatives and thought this would be a fun way to get the community involved. The net proceeds generated from this raffle will directly support these efforts.

How many calendars are available?
375,000 are available for sale.
How old do I have to be to buy a calendar?
Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older to participate. No-one under the age of eighteen (18) at the time the calendar was purchased can win a prize or a portion of a prize in the raffle.
I live outside Illinois, can I buy a calendar?
Yes, however you must be present in Illinois at the time of purchase. Calendars must be purchased and delivered within the state of Illinois.
Can I give a calendar as a gift?
- Yes, the 2012 Calendar Raffle for Kids makes a great gift! At the time of purchase you could provide the gift recipient’s name, so they are entered into the drawings. Just order by December 2, 2011 to ensure it is received in time for the holidays. Purchasing multiple calendars even saves you money with our bundles: 3-pack for $65, 5-pack for $100 or 10-pack for $150.
- The purchaser may give a calendar to a recipient (the giftee). All giftees must be 18 years of age or older and present in Illinois at the time of calendar purchase, and the purchaser is required to confirm this information. Each giftee should receive a calendar numbered receipt with every calendar gifted. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to make certain that giftees receive their official calendar. It is also the responsibility of the purchaser to make certain that giftees receive any notifications directed to them. Prizes will be payable to giftee c/o the purchaser and sent to the purchaser’s address. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to distribute prizes to winning giftees as necessary. Calendars cannot be purchased in the name of a minor. Any requests for changes to the calendar holder's name(s) requires photo ID. Calendar purchases requiring delivery prior to December 24, 2011 must be ordered by December 2, 2011 midnight (CST).
Who is not eligible to purchase a calendar?
People under the age of eighteen (18) or outside Illinois at the time of purchase, may not purchase a calendar. In addition, the following persons are prohibited from purchasing Calendars or obtaining any remuneration, profit, prize or benefit from the raffle: RMHC-CNI Staff, Board of Directors, Raffle Advisory Committee and all other persons with RMHC-CNI involved in the operation or management of the raffle and members of the same household of each of the above. Furthermore, employees of the Raffle Auditor, the Ticket Audit and Draw Control Auditor and members of the same household of each of the above are also prohibited.
Is the calendar tax-deductible?
The purchase price of raffle calendars does not qualify as a tax deductible charitable contribution.
Are winnings from the Calendar Raffle for Kids taxable?
Each prize winner is responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, and like charges associated with their prize(s) and for paying any such amounts.
I have misplaced my calendar. Am I still eligible for the draws?
- Yes, you are eligible for the draws. All purchasers’ names and their calendars’ numbers are recorded in our database, and automatically entered in the drawings. This way you can win, even without the calendar.
- If you would like your raffle number or to replace your lost calendar, please call our Customer Service team at 1-855-512-KIDS (5437).
I did not receive my calendar. Am I still eligible for the draws?
Yes, if your purchase and identification can be verified within our database, you will still be eligible for drawings. However, please contact us at 1-855-512-KIDS (5437) so we can try to replace your calendar.
Can I cancel my calendar purchase and get a refund?
We are sorry, but all calendar sales are final at the time of purchase.
Can I win more than once?
Yes, after each drawing in the raffle, the winner is recorded and remains eligible for all subsequent draws.
What happens if I live outside Illinois (as a result of moving after the calendar purchase) and won?
Calendars must be delivered within the state of Illinois. However, as long as a purchaser was in compliance with all rules and procedures at the time of purchase, a participant can claim a prize upon verification of an address change.

- RMHC-CNI respects the privacy of its donors and is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personal information. RMHC-CNI may collect personally identifying information about raffle participants for such purposes as processing your ticket request, contacting winners, or otherwise responding to your customer service requests, as well as establish, maintain, and manage our relationship with you.
- RMHC-CNI reserves the right to share this personal information with Children’s Memorial Hospital as a co-beneficiary of the Raffle for the same purposes as those listed above. Additionally, RMHC-CNI may provide your personal information to reputable third-party organizations for the sole purpose of helping us fulfill your order.
- Aside from the aforementioned exceptions, RMHC-CNI does not copy, reproduce, publish, post, distribute, share or sell, the name, personal contact information or description of donation or donor to any outside individual or business.
- RMHC-CNI may be required to disclose your personal information to outside third parties if ordered by a local or federal court through court order, subpoena, or applicable state or federal law.

How are the proceeds of the Calendar Raffle for Kids used?
Every purchase made will go toward helping Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana get one step closer to adding its heart to Chicago’s skyline! Next July, Chicago will become the home of the world’s largest Ronald McDonald House (RMH). Nestled among world class hospitals at 211 East Grand in Streeterville, the RMH near Lurie Children’s will serve as a haven of comfort, compassion, and hope for families who seek to get their children the finest health care treatment. The House allows families to eat, sleep and find the emotional support they need-just blocks away from where their child is being treated. This new House will increase capacity to address the thousands of families on our waiting list each year.
Proceeds will benefit critically ill children and their families at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Donations enable Children’s to:
- Offer families the most advanced medical treatments delivered by renowned pediatric experts in more than 70 specialty areas.
- Help defray the costs of providing life-saving care to children whose families have limited financial means.
- Offer the support of our Family Services team, including child life specialists, chaplains, interpreters, social workers, art and music therapists, volunteers and tutors.
- Conduct cutting-edge pediatric research to develop better treatments and potential cures for diseases and illnesses affecting children.
